Blade connecting to the blade iron

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Well this definitely will be the LAST hunter fan we will buy. Should of learned from the last one that just fell apart. But we bought another one and to our surprise another product not finished. You seriously can’t screw the blade onto the blade iron if the blade iron has NO HOLES. Everything was up except the blades. Called the 1800 number and well let’s say they were extremely rude and nasty. They would do anything for us, just told us to take it all down and take it back to the store. We just went to the store and they were nice and let us look at the other one they had there. Yep no holes in that one either. How the *** can you put the blades on. This is the last hunter product we will ever buy. The customer service was absolutely disrespectful. I wouldn’t even give it a 1 star rating.

Hunter Fans

I have had one for 30 years and now it is time to let go, it has come loose and I figured if I have had it for this long where can I get another one from. It fell down after I had it for ten years I repaired it and has worked since. I used to live in Tampa, Fl. and I had my Hunter Fan then, so when I moved to Vero Beach I brought it with me. I put it up in the first home we moved in. We lived there for ten years and we never had a problem with our hunter fan at all. Then we moved to another home for a number of years and then we moved into the home that we are in now. We have been here for twenty-two years. I really like this fan.

Hunter Fans suck. They either wobble, vibrate and noisy.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have bought several different model Hunter fans from Lowes, Home Depot and Menards and they all had issues from Wobbling, bearings making grinding noises or vibrating so bad it feels like your holding a vibrator. Some fans had all three issues.

Hunters quality sucks. There must not be no quality control for their shafts or bearings. What do you expect when crap comes from China. It's a good thing that so far all three home improvement stores accepted my return.

There was no use calling customer service to Hunter other then to complain. What are they going to do with those type of defects.

That is all internal issues. It is time to try a different brand of ceiling fans.

Bad customer service.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
They do not return all emails. On hold for excessive amounts of time. Unknowledgeable service techs who give out wrong information. Refund of money has taken over 45 days. After they shipped an incompatible part. They also told me I could not get the taxes I paid refund back to me. I do not normally write reviews but this is some of the worst customer service I have ever gotten, as an avid online shopper and DIY. I have had to call server times to get this resolved along with several emails asking question that were not answered. They were all professional and clean emails. I was told they were a leader in the fan company but I am sure to never get a fan or anything from them again.

No customer service

I have owned a ceiling fan/light with WiFi for 18 months. We purchased it from Amazon for $350. We loved it until one day it literally stopped working. The light comes on, but the fan spins by inches and makes a horrible sound. I still had the original receipt so I contacted Hunter through their company email for customer service. I detailed everything for them and attached a copy of the receipt. 4 days later I received a generic email asking me for information to what’s wrong with my fan and if I had a receipt. That basically informed me they never read my actual email. Later that day I received an email asking about the customer service that I received and it read on the bottom of the survey ‘customer problem resolved’. Resolved! No one has contacted me about my $350 broken fan that is 18 months old. I will never purchase a Hunter fan again and it’s my mission to inform everyone about their lack of service.

Terrible customer service

Bought ceiling fan from Menards. Was remolding, so it was about a month before I installed fan after purchasing. It was a remote controlled fan. The transmitter was not in box. It says right on the box if any parts are missing contact Hunter. So after sitting on hold for 23 minutes, they said they'd send one. Confirmation email had wrong address, so after another 27 minute wait, this lady said she changed address. Been over a week, & nothing.

Bought several fans and they smell like a fire about to happen

Called company and they are replacing the fans

Original review Apr 28, 2018
Bought 2 fans one smells like a burning motor, other one is OK. Hooked it up at another location, still smells.

Installed in another house, smells, replaced it with another, smelled worse and turned much slower, replaced it again, smells like a fire waiting to happen. Installed in a completely different circuit, smells. No one ever answers the phone, after some time it just disconnects you. I am an industrial maintenance tech over 30 years.

Have installed more than a hundred ceiling fans. never a problem until now. I told home depot i wanted a fan from another lot number, they could not accommodate. Model number 59212 so so far I bought four fans and only one works.

whats up with the burning motor smell.

Of course I hooked them up many times each and on different circuits. I moved the good fan to the other locations, no smell and quieter

it may be a burnt out motor or faulty wiring. don't be afraid if it gets worse to call 9-1-1 and have the FD come out to investigate the issue. they'd rather you call them and send them over to verify there's no emergency then to not call and have smoke/fire occur.

Wrong bolts

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My wife ands I bought a hunter fan Installed it well the rubber were bad and could fit the cover snug to ceiling because they gave us the wrong bolts too small. I called and they said I can buy replacements and that’s about it. Customer service is out the window Never getting another fan from then again.

2 new expensive Explorer fans

I have twins and bought them the Explorer that cost about $150 a piece. One fan broke after 2 years. Now the other fan broke on its 3rd year. Hunter sent parts they said would fix it, but it didn't. They told me they had 2 Explorer models and that I must be giving the wrong serial number. They told me the model number on the box was wrong and to look on top of the fan for the right number. That is very difficult with a fan that is 3 inches from the ceiling. We got that number and gave it to them. They sent us the same part again and it didn't work. Then they transferred me to a lady that was mean to me and told me they couldn't help me.

Bad design, must replace parts

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Rubber grommets that attach blades to fan get stretched and blades get loose. Called customer service and was told that I would have to buy replacement parts. Don't spend extra money buying a hunter fan!

Never received

We ordered two ceiling fans and only received one. We were told by Fed Ex that your company placed two shipping labels on the fan that we ordered. The tracking number reflects that the ceiling fan was sent to South Jordan Utah. We contacted Fed Ex but this issue relies on your company as they shipped/delivered according to the shipping label that you had on the top of the box. The label with our delivery address was on the side of the box. This issue has not been resolved as of today. I am very disappointed in your company with a ceiling fan that we have paid for that we have not received.
